The First Round of Super Rugby at Allianz Stadium saw the Queensland Reds play the New South Wales Waratahs. It also saw two former 成人综合网 students go head to head.
Jed Holloway (NSW) and Sam Talakai (QLD) both played First XV for 成人综合网 under teacher/coaches Mr Paul Cornish and Mr Matt Barr. Mr Barr鈥檚 coaching of Jed Holloway continues as he also is Head Coach at Southern Districts where Jed plays his club football in Sydney.
鈥淲herever I get to play rugby I am pretty stoked,鈥� Holloway said. 鈥淏ut I鈥檒l be honest playing at Allianz Stadium in front of 25,000 people 鈥� it is pretty intense.
鈥淩unning out onto the field you want to be as serious as you can, but I just couldn鈥檛 help myself but smile.鈥�
The 成人综合网 old boy and Waratahs number eight had two clean line breaks from five carries and racked up an impressive 65 metres with the ball in hand, winning the Man of the Match award.
Holloway was subsequently named in the number eight jersey again for the match against the ACT Brumbies relegating Wallabies鈥� Wyclef Palu to the interchange bench.
鈥淚 am just trying to go out each week play my hardest and give the respect to that jersey,鈥� he said.
